Effective Date: 01/05/2026
These Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings, purchases and participation in truffle hunts, farm experiences, tastings, workshops, tours and events conducted by Ashridge Truffles. By making a booking, attending an activity or entering the property, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
‘Ashridge Truffles’ means the owners, partners, employees, contractors, volunteers and representatives of the business. ‘Participant’ means any person attending an activity. ‘Property’ means all land, buildings, parking areas, infrastructure and facilities used by Ashridge Truffles.
Bookings are subject to availability and are only confirmed upon receipt of payment and written confirmation. Ashridge Truffles may refuse, amend or cancel bookings where reasonably necessary for operational, legal or safety reasons.
Participants must follow staff instructions, remain in designated visitor areas, wear suitable clothing and enclosed footwear, supervise children, disclose relevant medical conditions, and act safely and respectfully. Participants may be removed without refund if their conduct is unsafe, disruptive, abusive, intoxicated or unlawful.
Children must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Parents and guardians remain solely responsible for the behaviour and safety of children in their care.
Participants acknowledge that activities occur on a working rural property and involve inherent risks including uneven ground, mud, rabbit holes, tree roots, low branches, insects, wildlife, changing weather conditions, farm vehicles, machinery and agricultural infrastructure.
Truffle hunts involve specially trained working dogs. Participants must not distract, interfere with or feed the dogs unless instructed. The welfare of the dogs takes priority during activities. Visitor pets are not permitted unless approved in advance.
Ashridge Truffles operates a commercial agricultural enterprise. Participants must comply with all biosecurity directions including footwear requirements, restricted access areas, hygiene requirements and any instructions designed to protect agricultural production and animal welfare.
Participants are responsible for determining whether they are physically capable of participating. Activities may involve walking on uneven ground, standing outdoors and exposure to weather conditions. Participants with medical conditions, allergies or mobility limitations should contact Ashridge Truffles before booking.
Activities operate in a range of weather conditions. Ashridge Truffles may postpone, modify or cancel activities due to severe weather, bushfire risk, flooding, storms, unsafe ground conditions or government directions.
Participants acknowledge that truffles are natural agricultural products and that production is affected by seasonal conditions, weather, soil and biological factors. Ashridge Truffles does not guarantee that truffles will be found, the quantity located, their quality or availability for purchase. Variations in harvest outcomes do not constitute grounds for cancellation, refund or compensation.
All truffles located during activities remain the property of Ashridge Truffles unless expressly offered for sale or otherwise provided. Participants must not remove truffles, soil, plant material, equipment or other farm property without permission. Unauthorised removal may result in removal from the activity and referral to authorities.
More than 14 days before an activity: full refund or transfer. Between 7 and 14 days: transfer or credit note. Less than 7 days: no refund unless required by Australian Consumer Law. Failure to attend is treated as a cancellation.
If Ashridge Truffles cancels an activity, participants may be offered a transfer, credit or refund. Liability is limited to the booking amount paid.
Photographs and video recordings may be taken during activities and used in websites, social media, advertising, brochures and promotional materials. Participants who do not wish to appear in promotional material should advise staff before the activity commences.
Participants are responsible for their own belongings. Ashridge Truffles accepts no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal property except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
Participation is undertaken at the participant’s own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ashridge Truffles excludes liability for loss, damage, injury or expense arising from participation in activities except where caused by negligence or where liability cannot be excluded by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Participants acknowledge and voluntarily assume the inherent risks associated with outdoor recreation, rural tourism, farm environments, interaction with animals, uneven terrain and changing weather conditions.
Ashridge Truffles is not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond its reasonable control including bushfires, floods, storms, pandemics, utility failures, road closures or government restrictions.
Personal information collected in connection with bookings and activities will be handled in accordance with the Ashridge Truffles Privacy Policy.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
