Our story begins in 1986, when we purchased this land, then a sweeping grassy paddock in the rolling hills of the Neerim South district, West Gippsland from a local dairy farmer. We were young, but we carried a clear vision: to create a forever home shaped by nature, craft, and care.
Over the years, that vision took root. We planted shelter belts, built fences, and cultivated a large garden. We constructed our home from adobe bricks made from the earth beneath our feet, established a chestnut grove, tended orchards, and in time created our Truffière and Farm Gate.
Ashridge has always drawn inspiration from the gardens, farms, and culinary traditions we've encountered on our travels, as well as the simple joy of growing, creating, and sharing beautiful food with the people we love.
This journey has never been a solitary one. Family and friends have helped shape this place into what it is today, and we're proud to be part of a wider community of Australian and international truffle growers united by a shared commitment to exceptional quality. Abby is a committee member and Treasurer of the Australian Truffle Industry Association ATIA, and both Abby and Graham are committee members of the Noojee Truffle Festival.
We warmly invite you to walk the orchard, taste the season, and become part of the Ashridge story.
Step inside our farm shop as part of our truffle discovery and cooking class experiences.
Inside you will be warmed by our cosy wood fire and have the opportunity to learn more about truffles and how there are farmed and used in cooking.
After working up an appetite you will be able to taste some savoury and sweet truffle treats as well as purchase fresh truffle to take home.
