Ashridge Truffle Farm is a family-owned truffle farm near Neerim South in West Gippsland, Victoria, growing premium French black truffles (Tuber melanosporum) and welcoming guests for intimate winter truffle experiences.
Our truffière at Ashridge Truffle Farm brings together the land, our oak trees, our much-loved truffle dogs and the excitement of discovering ripe black truffles beneath the soil.
During Victoria's winter truffle season, visitors can join us for a guided truffle hunt, discover how truffles are grown and harvested, and experience the extraordinary aroma and flavour of freshly harvested black truffle.
Ashridge Truffle Farm has been our family home since 1986. Over the years, our small farm in the hills of West Gippsland has evolved around its adobe homestead, established gardens and chestnut grove, and eventually the truffière that visitors experience today.
Growing French black truffles came later in the Ashridge story. Establishing the truffière began a new chapter—one shaped by time, the seasons, our French oak trees and, of course, our much-loved truffle dogs, Bindi, Molly and Lulu.
Today, Ashridge Truffle Farm remains deliberately small and personal. We are a working truffle farm rather than a large tourism attraction, and that's how we want it to feel when you visit. Our guests spend time with us in the truffière, meet the dogs and discover what goes into growing and harvesting French black truffles in West Gippsland.
Nearly forty years after we arrived, Ashridge Truffle Farm is still our home. It simply has a much longer story to tell.
